Buras and Research Racing Move to Hooverspeed
Apr 11, 2008 12:10 AM
"We are delighted to be working with Jason Hoover and
his Hooverspeed team,” said Racing Research, LLC team
principal Allan Boshell. “The series' schedule
change from Houston and Cleveland to Portland and
Elkhart Lake posed some problems for us and we felt
moving to a west coast based operation would be best
for our efforts.”
Boshell, of Boca Raton, Fla., and fellow team principal Chad Stanford, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., have placed Buras in their MX-5 Cup car with a mission to raise awareness for pancreatic cancer and encourage others to visit The Patty Boshell Pancreatic Cancer Foundation Web site, www.pancreaticcure.org, founded by Boshell. The Foundation"s purpose is to fund research devoted to pancreatic cancer by partnering with the team’s other sponsor, The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (www.pancan.org), which is the nation’s largest and most active organization devoted to wiping out the dreadful disease.
“We are happy to see Todd join our team and to have the presence of Research Racing on our cars and in our paddock,” team owner Jason Hoover said. “Their cause of getting more research dollars for pancreatic cancer is an admirable one and we are proud to be part of this important effort.”
The 2008 MX-5 Cup season will begin at Road Atlanta, May 1 - 3.
