ooverspeed boasts a consistent foundation of success in the SCCA club racing arena, having worked with some of the best drivers in the country to prepare dominating racing machines. Rental and maintenance programs are available in several racing series, from San Francsico Region Spec Miata to National Spec MIata to Mazda Pro MX-5 Cup to endurance events such as the 25 Hours of Thunderhill.

In the San Francisco Region SCCA Spec Miata series, widely regarded as the most competitive racing in the nation, Hooverspeed’s drivers accounted for more half of the top 10, including the overall champion. In national competition at the 2007 National Championship Runoffs, Hooverspeed machines dominated the “sharp end” of the field, nearly sweeping the podium!

In 2007, Hooverspeed broke into the SCCA Mazda Pro MX-5 Cup series with great success. Fielding a 5-car team throughout the season, Hooverspeed amassed 4 podiums, a pole position, more than ten top 10 finishes and placed two drivers in the top 10 overall points standings. Hooverspeed is taking the competition up a notch this year, having signed profession driver and 2007 SCCA National Spec Miata champion Brad Rampelberg to the team to drive alongside last year's rising star, Bob Michaelian.

Thanks to his father, national racing champion Marc Hoover, Jason Hoover has been immersed in racing his entire life. He has combined that experience with his passion for motorsports and created the most successful Spec Mazda Miata program in the nation. His cars not only made up one third of the top 10 at this year’s SCCA National Championship Runoffs, but took 2 of the top 3 podium spots!
